Leading Japanese law firm Nishimura & Asahi (Gaikokuho Kyodo Jigyo) is pleased to announce a new association with Philippine law firm Sy & Partners, as part of our strategy to strengthen and expand its network in the Philippines and across the Southeast Asian region.

We have been providing comprehensive high-quality legal services to Japanese clients in connection with investments in and expansions to the Philippines, acquisition of Philippine companies, and daily business operations in the Philippines (commercial transactions, compliance, labor matters, and dispute resolution) in cooperation with local Philippine law firms.  Our attorneys have extensive experience providing legal services in Southeast Asian countries, and our teams include attorneys licensed to practice in the Philippines, as well as Japanese lawyers with extensive experience working with major local firms in the Philippines and handling projects within Southeast Asia. 

Sy & Partners was established by Felix Sy, a Philippine lawyer with a wealth of practical and commercial experience and in-depth expertise in cross-border and multi-jurisdictional legal and business solutions services in the region, including working with Japanese clients comply with their legal requirements and achieve their business goals. Working in close collaboration with N&A, Sy & Partners’ work focuses on inbound and outbound investments in various areas and sectors, particularly involving the Philippines and around the region.  In addition to its founder, Sy & Partners will have four partners/of counsels, five associate lawyers, and paralegal support. Sy & Partners will continue to add to its complement of lawyers and support staff.
