Nishimura & Asahi (Gaikokuho Kyodo Jigyo) has established an alliance with Philippine law firm Sy & Partners, as part of our strategy to strengthen and expand its network in the Philippines and across the Asia Pacific region.

Sy & Partners is led by Felix Sy, a Philippine lawyer with a wealth of practical and commercial experience and in-depth expertise in cross-border and multi-jurisdictional legal and business solutions services in the region, including working with Japanese clients comply with their legal requirements and achieve their business goals.  Felix’s practice focuses on Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Commercial, Banking & Finance, and Technology, including fintech, insuretech, digital assets, cryptocurrency, payments, and e-commerce. He advises on Insurance and Bancassurance transactions and products.  In addition, he focuses on Major Projects development in Power/Energy/Renewable Energy, Infrastructure/Utilities, including privatization, project development and operations, build-operate-transfer/Public Private Partnership and its variant arrangements.
Working in close collaboration with N&A, Sy & Partners’ work focuses on inbound and outbound investments in various areas and sectors, particularly involving the Philippines and around the region.
