W&P - Mitsui Invests in Indonesian Food Distribution and Cold-chain Logistics Company

Walalangi & Partners, based in Jarkarta (in association with Nishimura & Asahi), advised Mitsui & Co., Ltd. on its strategic investment in PT Pangan Lestari, a leading food distribution and cold-chain logistics company in Indonesia operating throughout the country. PT Pangan Lestari offers a wide variety of food products, including daily necessities and frozen foods, to major retailers, restaurants, hotels through the strength of its own dry and cold-chain logistics.

Through its investment in PT Pangan Lestari, Mitsui brings a wealth of expertise, knowledge and experience to improve distribution functions and logistics efficiency. It will expand and scale up Pangan Lestari’s business toultimately enhance the quality of Indonesian consumers’ daily life by addressing issues such as food waste and traffic congestion.

The transaction was deftly handled by Luky Walalangi with the unwavering support and expertise of  Miriam Andreta and Hans Adiputra Kurniawan.
